A Review of Sunday and an Encouragement for Monday
God gave Cornerstone a wonderful Sunday. There was a great spirit in Sunday School and both Preaching Services. During the Sunday School hour, we examined the importance of giving to the Lord through our missions giving.
In the Morning Service, Pastor Cowan preached an encouraging and pointed message entitled "I'd Join That Church" in which he challenged CBC to be like the Church of Antioch. In the Evening Service we were joined by Missionary Seth Demarest to Uganda. He has been serving in Africa for 8 years. It was great to meet a servant of God and learn some of the work that the Lord is during in Uganda. He preached a challenging message from John 3:16 entitled "Who Do You Love?" Both of the messages had an emphasis on missions. As we close out January next week we will be making our new fatih promise mission commitments. Please be in prayer as to what God would have you to do in this area. Pray that God will use the services next week to stir the hearts of those that will be making a promise to the Lord regarding giving.
