A Review of Sunday with an Encouragement for Monday
Sunday, February 8 was a wonderful day at Cornerstone. God moved in the services all day. The Sunday School hour was a great time of encouragement as we looked at the Joy we can have in Giving unto the Lord.
In the Morning Preaching Service, Pastor Cowan challenged the church to climb and claim the mountains that God has for us to conquer in a message entitled, "Conquering Giants to Get That Mountain." We examined the life of Caleb and his trust in the Lord that led him to conquer giants and claim Mount Hebron that had been promised to him. In the Evening Preaching Service, Pastor preached a pointed messaged regarding the link between our faith in God and our love for God. God desire for us to be Christians who have a determination to do what He has called us to do. Whether it is conquering a giant, climbing a mountain, or taking a simple step of faith and obedience, God wants us to rely on Him.
